Our Team 

Marie Fedorov


Marie Fedorov is the Director of FEDOROV Family Lawyers and Family Mediation Station.


With almost 20 years of experience as a Family Lawyer and with her collaborative law skills and mediation skills, Marie is a thought leader in Family Law offering a unique approach to family law matters focusing on out of Court solutions to stop the heartache so that her clients can move on with their lives.


Marie offers support and guidance through FEDOROV Family Lawyers unique Separation and Support Service to emotionally support our clients and empowering them to make considered decisions when negotiating outcomes. Combined with a friendly nature Marie is not only dedicated to understanding Client’s needs but is also dedicated to thinking outside the square whilst providing professional advice to clients in a timely and cost-effective fashion. Marie is a thought leader in Family Law and is hands down one of the best female family law lawyers on the Gold Coast.


In her spare time, Marie loves spending time with her husband and two little boys, running (and running after her boys) cooking up a storm and travel.

Chrissy Trueman


Chrissy was admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor and has more than 22 years experience practicing predominantly in Family Law. Chrissy has a high level of knowledge, practical skills, and experience that she has achieved and applies to every aspect of the work that she does for her clients.


Chrissy’s own personal experience and understanding of the breakdown of a relationship and the resulting parenting and/or financial issues that follow allow her to relate to her clients as she personally understands the conflict, confusion, and emotional strain that separation can take on a person. By drawing on her broad range of personal and professional experience, she is able to provide clear and cost-effective advice to confidently guide you through what can often feel like a complicated and confusing legal system. Chrissy is mindful of the financial challenges that arise when attempting to resolve family law disputes and prioritises negotiation and alternative dispute resolution where possible. Chrissy is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator and is passionate about assisting clients to achieve the best possible outcome from their family law matter.


Chrissy brings with her experience in a wide range of areas, including parenting matters, family violence cases, financial agreements, and complex property settlements. Her Degree in Law and Public Administration and Masters’s in Business Administration (MBA) provides her with valuable commercial and business knowledge that assists her with complex property cases along with her high level of attention to detail.


In her spare time, Chrissy loves to cook and enjoys long lazy lunches with family and friends, travel to exotic overseas destinations and getting through her “bucket list,” park play dates with her grandsons, regular trips to Tasmania to visit her parents, and spending time at the beach and boating. 


Angela Kurtz

General Manager

Angela provides a positive and steadying influence across the firm and enjoys tackling the many and varied aspects of practice management. She provides operational management across HR, marketing and business development, IT/systems, office logistics, and drives various projects across the firm.


With over 20 years in legal professional services, Angela has extensive experience in a range of mid-tier and national roles across HR, management, and marketing/communications, with a particular interest in people and performance. Angela is a firm believer in life-long learning and has presented at numerous forums on various HR and practice management topics.


She is particularly interested in high-performing teams and enjoys working with the FEDOROV Family Lawyers team to ensure our client service standards remain at the highest level.


Natasha Harris

Head of Family Law, Gold Coast

Natasha has practised exclusively in family law for almost 10 years.


Natasha is passionate about helping her clients resolve their property settlement matters as quickly and as cost effectively as possible. She often receives positive feedback and referrals from her clients are grateful for her experience and honest advice.


Natasha has a particular interest in alternate dispute resolution which can often achieve a more efficient, discrete and harmonious resolution for clients. In her spare time, Natasha enjoy spending time with family and friends and travelling.


Michelangelo Benedetti

Senior Associate

Michelangelo is a diversified legal practitioner with almost 9 years post-admission experience. He has 6 years of focused family law experience on the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Michelangelo is an experienced negotiator of dispute and has a record of handling high volume of cases, while forming excellent client relations and obtaining quality outcomes across the spectrum of family law matters. He is also a capable solicitor-advocate and trusted advisor, having represented numerous clients both in court proceedings and mediations.


Between 2018 and 2020, Michelangelo took up a legal in-house role with the headquarters of an international non-governmental organization, working in corporate governance and compliance, property and land, contracts, banking, taxation, privacy, employment and litigation.


In 2021, he returned to the field of family and re-joined Fedorov Family Lawyers, having worked at the firm previously between 2016 and 2018.


Michelangelo has a particular interest in forms of alternate dispute resolution, such as mediation, and how they can help clients achieve better outcomes without the need for expensive and protracted litigation.


In his spare time, Michelangelo enjoys spending time with his family and playing soccer. He is an avid supporter of his favourite team, Juventus FC.

Leanne Stuchbery

Leanne Stuchbery

Senior Associate

Leanne has been practising in Family Law for over 17 years in the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Melbourne markets.

In that time, Leanne has been able to gather experience in a wide range of matters which can be applied to assist clients in negotiations and in court proceedings in which that becomes necessary.  Leanne can assist in property settlement, parenting matters and child support matters.

Leanne has a particular interest in property settlement matters and finding creative solutions that meet her client’s needs.

In her spare time, Leanne enjoys spending time with her family, yoga and baking with her children.


Katrina Taylor


Katrina is experienced across a range of family law areas and has a particular interest in Domestic Violence work.  She has practiced in the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Northern Rivers, and Newcastle regions.


Katrina can assist in property settlement, parenting disputes, mediation, Consent Orders, Divorce, Prenuptial Agreements, and Domestic Violence. She assists clients in avoiding court proceedings wherever possible, allowing them to settle property and parenting matters and to save unnecessary cost, stress, and delay.  Katrina always thinks outside the box to achieve the best possible outcomes for the client.


In her spare time, Katrina loves spending time with her friends and family (especially her son), travelling, and experiencing new and exciting cafes and restaurants.

Vicki Petersen

Legal Secretary

Vicki brings great understanding of what is involved in family law matters.


When not at work you can find Vicki spending time with her family, taking the grandchildren on adventures or sitting at home reading a good book or listening to her eclectic taste in music (and it is eclectic!!).


Stella Kantarivic

Legal Assistant

Stella recently joined our firm and has a passion for Family Law.  She is currently studying at Griffith University in her penultimate year.

In her spare time, Stella enjoys time at the beach and spending time with family and friends.


Lateesha Bell

Legal Secretary

Lateesha has worked as a Legal Assistant in the area of Family Law for 9 years. Her empathetic nature is something that our clients really appreciate as go through the emotional Divorce process.


In her spare time, Lateesha enjoys travelling, spending time at the beach, jet skiing and catching up with friends and family.


Victoria Lierse

Legal Assistant

Victoria Lierse completed her bachelor of laws at Bond University in 2022 and is set to be admitted by the end of the year. She has a friendly nature and commitment to ensuring clients are supported through their Family Law Matters.


In her spare time, Victoria enjoys spending time outdoors, reading and trying out new cafes with her friends.


Stephanie Iliuk

Administration Assistant

Stephanie Iliuk is the Administration Assistant at FEDOROV Family Lawyers and is also, a university student completing her degree in Speech Pathology.


She has a strong work ethic and values organisation and colleague comradery in the workplace. Stephanie understands how to communicate with clients both over the phone and in person toensure a positive client experience.


Stephanie loves spending time with her family, shopping and at the beach where sheenjoys paddle boarding,swimming,and kayaking

Donna brings a great understanding and empathetic nature as to what clients need, having worked in the Legal industry for over 21 years.


In her spare time, Donna loves spending time with her family, going to the gym, spending time in her garden, and baking.

Joanna Burnett

Joanna Burnett

Separation Consultant

Joanna Burnett is a professional counsellor qualifying in 2003 with a Bachelor of Social Work from Deakin University. Joanna worked in the NSW local magistrate’s courts supporting people experiencing domestic violence and counselling/groups for families in the Tweed Shire.


She started her private practice in both NSW/QLD as a counsellor in 2006 working with families, individuals and couples. Joanna continued to work in her counselling practice part time and in 2005 worked in a psychiatric hospital, with inpatients experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma and other mental health issues for over 10 years, whilst completing a Masters in Forensic Mental Health in 2013 with Griffith University.


Since 2017, Joanna has been working both in counselling and assessing separating couples in collaboration with family lawyers. She has commenced a Masters by Thesis in 2018 researching family violence and mediation with Southern Cross University.
